Welcome to our web site!Halifax AAG is a group of volunteers committed to helping families living with anaphylaxis. By providing an opportunity for discussion and online resources we assist families and professionals in caring for those with life threatening food allergies. Our goal is to share information with those who are interested in learning about food allergies and anaphylaxis.
Halifax AAG is currently the only support group in the HRM for individuals and families living with life threatening allergies. We meet monthly to address the practical issues and challenges of anaphylaxis. As a group we exchange information and strive to promote awareness in Halifax and surrounding areas. Although we wish to see you at the meetings, we understand that people have different (and often hectic) schedules, so not everyone can make it to every meeting. This is the main purpose of this web site; to provide a summary of what took place in the meetings and also to act as an information hub for anyone looking for more information about anaphylaxis. We hope that the web site will be a gathering place for many of us who are currently living, or have lived with, food allergies. Any input is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to drop us a line if you have any additional information or leave a comment if you think other people might find the info useful. If you would like more information on a specific allergy please do not hesitate to contact us. Ruth Roberts Founder & Facilitator |
